We in the same-sex community often face additional legal challenges when it comes to protecting our families and ourselves.

Ask yourself:

 - Do you know how to best protect what you have, and pass it along to your spouse or loved ones?

 - Do you have any legal protections in place to ensure your wishes and intentions for your estate are respected?

- Are you aware that without proper planning, your assets and care may result in struggles through the grasps of lawyers, probate court, Medicaid, nursing homes, death tax, your not-quite perfect son-in-law, that overcontrolling daughter-in-law, or your family or your partner’s family who don’t fully support you?

Meagan Whitley, an estate planning attorney and author of the Report, “Estate Planning for Same-Sex Couples,” and Jaime Duggan, a family law attorney, are presenting this free seminar, to teach you how to protect yourself and your loved ones  with proper estate and family planning.

What Meagan’s Clients Say

“Rabalais Law Firm came highly recommended to us by our financial advisor. Over the years, we often talked about will and estate planning, but avoided actually doing it thinking it would be a long and complicated process. Not so with your firm. You and your entire staff were friendly and professional. You listened to our needs, discussed them with us in ‘non-lawyer talk’ and quickly assisted us with meeting our goals. You valued our time at appointments, and our emails and phone calls were promptly responded to. We are very pleased with the service that Rabalais Law firm provided us, and happily recommend you.”

We are absolutely delighted with you and The Rabalais Law Firm in setting up our Revocable Living Trust. We knew that we somehow needed to make arrangements to simplify things for our children when we die and the Revocable Living Trust does that. The Estate Planning Portfolio binder containing the executed documents and

individual sections for comprehending everything is wonderful. Couldn’t be more pleased. We would like to add that after reviewing all of the tentative documents we had a few questions which we directed to your firm’s attorney, Catherine Martinez, who answered them promptly and clearly.
