Oh, the joy of Christmas shopping!  The thrill of fighting crowds, the impossibility of finding a parking spot, and don’t forget all the magical family time!  The holidays are often the most challenging time of the year for many of us.  We have this expectation that it should be so joyful, and yet we may feel the most lonely, depressed and over extended than any other time of year.  For many people, the holidays highlight the absence of loved ones who have passed or yet again we are headed to family gatherings solo having to answer that dreaded question, “So, do you have anyone special in your life?”  UGH!

If this describes your experience of the holidays and you cannot book a cruise from November 24-January 2, you may want to acquire a few new tools for entering this holiday season.

Megan Bauer, Director of the Dallas Shambhala Meditation Center will give meditation instruction and a few additional practices you can use to navigate the emotional rough seas of the this year’s holiday season.  The practices that will be offered are drawn from ancient Buddhist wisdom and will allow you more freedom and spaciousness to begin to again relax and enjoy the holidays.
